Hopefully you know that we offer free concerts on a regular basis. In the fall, the theme is popular music, including the Great American Songbook and tunes from the 50s and 60s. In the spring, we have our ever-popular jazz series. Mixed in there are a couple of special classical concerts in memory of two people who made a difference here at White Plains Library.

On Sunday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m., we welcome All Seasons Chamber Players as they present “The French-Russian Connection,” a concert of chamber music by Russian and French composers that will include pieces for cello and piano by Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, Faure and Tchaikovsky; the light-hearted Musique de Cour for Flute, Violin and Piano by Jean Francaix; and the passionate Trio in D Major, Opus 32 for Violin, Cello and Piano by Russian composer Anton Arensky. They will be joined by special guest artist Jacqueline Schiller-Audi.

This event sponsored by the Friends of the White Plains Public Library is the 4th annual memorial concert in honor of Robert Mills, past President of the Friends, beloved longtime Library volunteer and pianist. We hope you’ll join us for this marvelous concert.
