On Display at the White Plains Public Library Gallery

The Paintings of John Folchi are on view in the Museum Gallery of the White Plains Public Library now through August 31. His landscapes, urban scenes and figure works are inspired by places along the Hudson River, New York City and White Plains, NY.
John Folchi was born in the Bronx and studied at the Art Students League in Manhattan. He received his BA in 1977 and his MA in 1980, both from Lehman College. During the 1970s, he participated in group shows at the Bronx Museum of Art. In the early 1980s, he exhibited at the Terrain Gallery in Soho. In 2000, he received a solo exhibition at the Sears Peyton Gallery in Manhattan. John moved to White Plains over 20 years ago, and his studio is in New York City.
In 2013, he received a solo show “In the Park” at the Images Briarcliff Gallery in Briarcliff Manor, NY and also participated in group shows at the Brian Morris Gallery in the Lower East Side, the CCCP Gallery North Light, the Friday Studio Gallery, Loft 594 in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the e Gallery in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn and the Mark Gruber Gallery in New Paltz, New York.
