    Handwritten on back:
    Beers Atlas Map, Older than 1867? Maybe older than 1881.
    Lucas (Researcher for Concerned Citizens) says that the name “Bloomingdale Lunatic Asylum” would have been used only after 1892. The hospital was built from 1892 to 1894.”

  1. <150th Anniversary of the Constitution>
    Color proclamation issued by Franklin D. Roosevelt designating the period from September 17, 1937, to April 30, 1939, as one of commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the signing and ratification of the Constitution. Origin unknown. There are portraits of Presidents around the border of the proclamation.

    Black-and-white photograph of the White Plains Courthouse demolition, June 19, 1977.  A gift to the Library in March 1978 from Mr. Filardi. Note handwritten on back: “Photograph taken on a Saturday morning – blue sky – beautiful clouds. Work in progress most probably to avoid dangers to regular workers and passerbys on weekdays.”
