February Family Movies

Sunday movies continues in the Trove in February with a great selection of films celebrating Black History Month. Here’s a quick look at some of the titles we’ll be showing at 2:00 p.m. in Galaxy Hall throughout the month of February.

February 10The Princess and the Frog (2009)
A prince and a princess are transformed into frogs and seek the help of a voodoo priestess to restore their true forms. 97 minutes, Rated G.

February 17Black Panther (2018)
Before the Oscars on February 24, see the first superhero film nominated for Best Picture of the Year! A superhero known as Black Panther defends Wakanda, a technologically advanced country in Africa that has hidden itself away from the rest of the world. Now, he must face a dissident who wants to sell the country's natural resources to fund an uprising. 135 minutes, PG-13.

February 24Akeelah and the Bee (2006)
Uplifting tale of an inner-city girl (Keke Palmer) striving to become a spelling champ. 112 minutes, Rated PG.
