Book Group for Grades 4 & 5

Join The Trove's book discussion group for 4th and 5th graders which will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at 4:30 p.m. Read something new and challenging and talk about it with other kids over pizza. We will be reading The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg, by Rodman Philbrick.

Homer is a 12-year-old orphan from Pine Swamp, Maine whose older brother, Harold, has been sold into the Union Army. Homer sets out to find him and has to outwit and outrun a collection of thieves, spies and other unsavory characters on the way. His adventurous search leads him to the Battle of Gettysburg…will he find his brother or will he be too late?

Pre-registration for Book Bunch is required and begins Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Register in person in The Trove. Sorry, we cannot accept registration by telephone. When you register, you will receive a free copy of The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg.
