College and Career Edge Summer Series

The Edge at the White Plains Public Library is happy to announce our new College and Career Edge series this summer. We'll be using our new Igloo room to host a variety of virtual and in-person programs. In the Igloo, students can experience Virtual Reality (VR) without a headset in the library's newly installed panoramic content room. Views from 360° content and more will be provided in this fun series of programs. Technology installed by Igloo Vision and funded by the Library Foundation/Optimum.

We will be hosting the following programs in partnership with Collegewise. These programs are hybrid; join us at the Library in the Igloo Technology Room, or join in virtually over Zoom from home.

Wednesday, June 14 at 5:00 p.m. – Financial Aid and Admissions Myth

Thursday, June 15 at 5:00 p.m. – How to Make Your Common App a Lot Less Common

Wednesday, June 21 at 5:00 p.m. – Conducting College Research

We will be hosting the following programs in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

July 25 at 4:00 p.m. – Financial Literacy for Teens

August 22 at 4:00 p.m. – Financial Literacy for Teens

College and Career Edge Series: Virtual College Visits in the Igloo

We will be visiting various college campuses through the magic of Virtual Reality. This series will take place on Thursday afternoons in the Igloo Technology Room.

June 15 at 4:00 p.m. – University of Los Angeles

June 29 at 4:00 p.m. – Howard – HBCU

July 13 from 4:00 p.m. – Study Abroad

July 27 from 4:00 p.m. – University of Pennsylvania

August 10 from 4:00 p.m. – Harvard College
