It's Back!

One of the best things about working in downtown White Plains is the Farmers’ Market, which reopens today, Wednesday, April 24th and will be open every Wednesday thereafter until November 27th. Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Market vendors are from farms in upstate New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The farmers and vendors offer a wide assortment of fresh produce, plants, home baked goods, breads, fish, olive oils, cheeses, and prepared foods.

And that's not all...the City is kicking the Opening Day of the Farmers' Market up a notch with informational tables and giveaways in recognition of Earth Day, all organized by the Mayor's Sustainable White Plains Committee.

Magic with Scott Jameson

Do you believe in interactive magic? That’s what the Library will showcase on Sunday, April 28, at 2:00 p.m. in the second-floor auditorium with a performance from magician Scott Jameson. “I don’t do card tricks or pull rabbits out a hat,” he says. “But I will bring a drawing to life, spin and juggle basketballs, and travel through time with an audience that will be very involved. In circus terminology, my show is for kids of all ages.”

Competitive Analysis Workshop

For anyone starting a business, the single most important step to take is doing a thorough competitive analysis. This workshop will not only provide the format, but also teach you how to use it. The SBA will present this workshop for small business owners on Thursday, May 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. Visit our online calendar for more info.
