Graphic Novel Workshop with
Gregg Schigiel
Artist Gregg Schigiel is a student of the late author and cartoonist Will Eisner, who is among those that originated the term “graphic novel” for illustrative story-telling that went beyond comic books. “Eisner’s work inspired me,” says Schigiel. “I focus on making graphic novels for kids, like my current PIX series, a superhero/fairy tale mash-up adventure. I look forward to talking about that and how I make comics with elementary- and middle-school kids at the White Plains Public Library.” Schigiel will present “Once Upon a Superhero: How Gregg Schigiel Creates his Graphic Novels” for ages 7-14 on Wednesday, July 10th, at 3:00 p.m. For full info, visit our website here.
