This Week in White Plains

The City of White Plains, in partnership with White Plains Hospital, Bensidoun USA, and NY Hospitality Group, will present a Nutrition Workshop at the Wednesday Farmers' Market held on Court Street in downtown White Plains. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, November 14 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. and is open to all. The farmers' market itself is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Wednesday through Thanksgiving. Career Panel with Senator Mayer & County Executive George Latimer

The Edge will hold their second Government & Politics career panel for teens on Wednesday, November 14 at 7:00 p.m. New York State Senator Shelley Mayer and Westchester County Executive George Latimer will be the guest panelists. Find out more.

Volunteer Orientation

Are you interested in volunteering with us? We have a variety of options ranging from helping in our Friends' new bookstore, to leading a session of our English Conversation Group, or digitizing local newspapers in our Local History room. If you want to apply and learn about all of this and more, attend our Volunteer Orientation next Thursday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. Find out more about volunteering and about the orientation on our website.

STEM Buddies

Every other Thursday, children in grades 1-4 can signup at the Compass Desk in the Trove to work on STEM activities in small groups for 30 minutes with teen volunteers or college students. Visit our website to find out signup hours and more about STEM.
