What’s the buzz? Library Foundation hosts Adult and Teen Spelling Bee fundraiser to benefit The Trove!

Join us Friday, February 27, 7 p.m. at the HIGHLANDS MIDDLE SCHOOL AUDITORIUM for our first-ever Adult & Teen Spelling Bee. Have some fun watching teams of adults from community organizations and book groups and teens from White Plains High School test their spelling skills! Doors open at 7 p.m., Bee starts at 7:30 p.m. Snow date Friday March 6.

Admission $5 payable at door. Kids under 6 free. Raffle drawing and refreshments available for purchase. Proceeds will support new technology for The Trove, our amazing children's library, celebrating its 10th birthday this year.

Our celebrity emcee is Lawrence Otis Graham, noted author, News 12 commentator and WPHS alum (and Hall of Famer!) Our judges are Mayor Thomas Roach, School Board President Rosemarie Eller, and WPHS English Language Coordinator, Douglas Cronk.

Please note: this event takes place at Highlands Middle School, 128 Grandview Ave., White Plains 10605, NOT at the Library.
