By learning chess, one of the oldest and most fascinating of games, you can make a friend and learn a little sportsmanship. The Chess Club meets Monday nights at 6:30 p.m.in the Trove. Ages 7 and up—teens, adults and grand masters—are welcome. No registration required.

My grandfather will like and play chess with anyone.
Is there a place or day he can spend some time playing chess with anyone interested in playing as well?
Currently the only Chess group for adults that I’m aware of that meets regularly is the Westchester Chess Club: https://www.westchesterchessclub.com/.
is this chess program offered during the summer?
Unfortunately, no, the Chess Club will not be meeting for the foreseeable future. You may want to check with the National Scholastic Chess Foundation which is located here in White Plains, as they are likely to have on-going programs.
