Program Cancellations: Check back here for updates
All Programs and Events Suspended through March 31st
As a precaution to help limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and support the City of White Plains' efforts to promote social distancing, the White Plains Public Library has suspended all programming and events through March 31. The Library will remain open during our regular hours.
We believe this is in the best interest of our staff, patrons and the public health of the County. This means our patrons will no longer receive holds from other libraries and the White Plains Public Library will no longer send our items to other libraries. We will attempt to fulfill your requests from our own collection. You may still return your items to any library in the Westchester Library System and use your card to check out and pick-up items at any library. We realize how much our patrons value this service, and will implement it again as soon as is reasonable.
In response to guidance that recommends social distancing to minimize the spread of , COVID19, the White Plains Library Foundation is postponing its March 14th Gala. The Foundation made this decision out of an abundance of caution and concerns about the evolving circumstances in Westchester County.
Thank you for the incredible outpouring of support for the Foundation’s 25th Anniversary. We look forward to celebrating with you (and Erik Larson) at a future event, details to follow. Questions? Please contact Nancy Rubini, WPLF Executive Director, at nrubini@whiteplainslibrary.org or 914-422-1495.
We’ll also be in touch about getting guests their copies of The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson.

Spring break will extend to March 22, and there will be no classes the following week. Classes will not meet again at the Library until March 30.
