Teens in grades 7-12 can pick up a kit with project supplies at the Library, then follow along with the instructional video below to make the project. Or, you can find the materials around your home and follow the video to make the project. Kits are first come, first served, and will become available on Monday, March 21st in the Library lobby.
This month's project is friendship bracelets. The kit includes four colors of embroidery floss and a couple of safety pins. You'll need to provide scissors, and you might also want to use some tape or a clipboard. We'll follow a video tutorial from creativebug, a database with thousands of arts and crafts tutorials. To access creativebug for free, visit this link and click “Go To Resource” to create your free account. Then, watch this video for instructions on making your friendship bracelet. These materials are intended to make the Twist type of friendship bracelet, so you'll want to watch that chapter of the video for that technique.
Follow along with the video, and please post pictures of your creations on Instagram or Facebook and tag us so we can see what you make!
