Have you ever been interested in playing D&D but felt too intimidated by all the rules? Ever read books like Erin Hunter's Warriors or Brian Jacques' Redwall series and wanted to have adventures like those characters? Look no further than the roleplaying game (RPG) Wanderhome!

Wanderhome is a game created by Jay Dragon based on cooperative storytelling, with only a couple rules and guidelines to keep straight after character creation. The game is run either by a game master or by all the players taking turns at the game master role (whichever the group prefers). Players then create an animal character based on the kind of character (or playbook) they choose. Once the character is created, the group introduces their characters to each other, chooses the setting of their first adventure, and the game begins!

The setting for Wanderhome (the Haeth) is in the middle of healing from a war-torn era and so the game is mostly focused on exploring the land and creating bonds between the characters in the group and with the non-player characters (or Kith) that they encounter along their journey.

If you're interested in playing, the introductory session for teens will be held on November 9th, 2022, in the Edge – hope you can join us there!

If you’re interested in learning more about the game before you play, here are some reviews from Dicebreaker, Polygon, and Tabletop Gaming.

(If you're interested in playing and you're *not* a teen, stay tuned…)
