Attention all patrons! Get ready for a journey like no other as the Library invites you to explore new and exciting virtual experiences with our newly installed panoramic video room, the “Optimum Technology Room,” which uses technology installed by Igloo Vision. Thanks to the support of Optimum and the White Plains Library Foundation, we are now able to bring you 360 virtual reality content without the need for a headset. You'll be able to experience 360 videos, interactive immersive apps, 360 slideshows and more, all projected onto three walls in the room.

• Join us on Tuesday, February 7th at 12:15 p.m. for a virtual tour of space. Get a glimpse of the vastness of our universe and explore the mysteries of the cosmos like never before.
• On Sunday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m., take a journey back in time with our “Dinosaur Safari”. Watch in awe as the largest creatures to ever roam the earth come to life right before your eyes.
• Travel through history with our “Historical Tours” on Wednesday, February 22nd at 12:15 p.m. Explore ancient civilizations and experience the wonders of the past.
• On Wednesday, March 8th at 5:15 p.m., be transported to the bustling city of Dubai with our virtual tour. Marvel at the architectural feats and immerse yourself in the rich culture of this modern metropolis.
• Get ready for an adrenaline rush with our “VR Roller Coasters” on Sunday, March 19th at 2:00 p.m. Experience the thrill of a roller coaster like never before without leaving the comfort of the library.
• And finally, mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 29th at 5:15 p.m. where we will explore the topic of “What is the Metaverse?” Join us as we delve into the exciting world of virtual reality and learn about the endless possibilities it holds.
