Celebrating International Women’s Day: Poetry

The Library will be celebrating Women’s History Month with poetry from a diverse range of voices and cultures. The event will take place on Sunday March 10th from 2:00-3:30 p.m.

- Deborah Hauser – Poet laureate of Suffolk County
- Susan Clarkson Moorhead – Librarian at New Rochelle Public Library & Pushcart nominee
- Q. Imagine – Emerging poet
- Claudine Nash – Award-winning poet
- Caroline Reddy – Librarian at White Plains Public Library & published poet
International Women’s Day takes place every year on March 8th. International Women’s Day is a global day that celebrates women’s rights. The day focuses on gender equality, reproductive rights as well as raising awareness for violence and abuse against women.
