We're thrilled to announce that we'll have two teams competing in the Westchester Battle of the Books tournament this year! Read on to find out more about the tournament, our plans for the team, and most importantly, the books!

This year's Battle of the Books tournament will take place on Saturday, October 26 at Ossining High School. We're looking for trivia-loving, book-loving, competitive kids who will be in grades 4-12 in fall 2024. For more information about the tournament itself, check out the Westchester Library System’s Battle of the Books page. 

The Trove team is for kids who will be in grades 4-7 in fall 2024. Coaches Erika and Deb have optional practice sessions every 3 weeks in the summer and then ramp up to weekly practices starting in September. Our first practice starts on June 25th at 7:00 p.m. with Mabuhay! If you are interested or have any questions, please email Erika at epeiffer@whiteplainslibrary.org.

The Edge team is for teens who will be in grades 6-12 in fall 2024. Coaches Kat and Lilian are hosting an interest meeting on Wednesday June 12 at 7:00 p.m. Our team will spend the summer reading independently and will come back together in the fall, when we'll begin weekly practices in early September.
