Video Game Time
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during Edge hours.
Tech Tuesday
Youth in grades 4-12 will learn about new technology topics on select Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m.
Thoughtful Thursday
Take time for a meditative art project on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m.

Teens
The Library offers a fun, unprogrammed time ONLY for White Plains teens in grades 9-12. Games, crafts, coloring, food, hanging out, video games, karaoke, virtual experiences, dancing, are all just some of the things that could be going on! Teens must be in grades 9-12 and able to show White Plains residence.
Decision Making
Monday January 6 at 4:00 p.m.

Join us to discuss factors that affect decision making for young people, and walk away feeling more empowered to make decisions that are best for you. For high school students. No registration required.
Cooking Class
Monday January 6 at 6:00 p.m.
Story Trove
Teens
Join us to learn how to cook a simple meal. Recipes range from chicken, rice and broccoli to grilled cheese. For teens in grades 7-12; registration required.
STEAM Saturday
Saturday January 11 at 2:00 p.m.
The Castle
Grades 4-8
Come learn about viscosity while making some beautiful swirling sensory tubes. Students will learn the science behind why things are as they are while also unlocking the creative side of their brains through a hands-on experience with STEM experiments. Topics will include biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and computer science. Tickets will be given out starting 30 minutes prior to the program at the Compass Desk in the Trove.
Beginner Stitching
Monday January 13 at 6:30 p.m.
Museum Gallery
Teens, Adults
Learn the basics of knitting and crochet with Kat and Cecelia! We will teach beginner stitches and provide yarn and the needles/hook needed to make a practice square. Experienced crafters are welcome to attend any session; registration is required for beginners. Space for learners is limited in order to provide a good experience for everyone. Teen Driving in the Igloo

Youth participants of this program will have virtual driving fun in the library's “Igloo” room. Led by Digital Media Specialist Austin Olney. For grades 4-12. Registration is not required, but is appreciated. Equipment provided, all encouraged!
Do Gooders

Teens in grades 7-12 can earn community service hours by attending Do Gooders meetings. We work on projects to benefit the library or other local organizations and plan future After Hours events. No registration is required.
Decompress with a Dog

Holocaust Remembrance Day Book Discussion

For Holocaust Remembrance Day, we'll be discussing the graphic novel White Bird by R.J. Palacio and playing a game of Jeopardy. The first 6 child registrants will receive their own copy of the book.

Igloo Virtual Tour: Visit a College
Monday January 27 at 4:00 p.m.

This session will a tour of the University or college campus of your choice. Experience Virtual Reality (VR) without a headset in the library's newly installed panoramic content room. Views from 360° content and more will be provided in this fun series of programs. Technology installed by Igloo Vision and funded by the Library Foundation/Optimum.; Location is in the Optimum Technology Room, formerly Room A (near the entrance of the Trove on the 2nd floor). Seating can be provided if requested, but attendees are encouraged to stand (or sit on the carpeted floor) during the presentation.

A meeting of the Edge Advisory Board, a group of teens who love the library and work to plan activities for teens in the Edge. Teens may earn community service credit for meaningful participation.
