For our elementary schoolers, please join us for our programs at The Trove! We have an array of activities for different age groups throughout the month.

Author Visit Storytime with David Sherrin; All Ages

Come enjoy A Special Author Storytime with David Sherrin, who will be reading his book, The Baddest Wolf of All? Followed by a craft.

K-2 Stories & Stuff: Mardi Gras!; Grades K-2

Afternoon stories and craft for grades K-2. We will read stories about Mardi Gras and then create our own paper Mardi Gras masks!

Trove Trivia Book Club; Grades 3-6

Circle of Friends: An American Girl Musical; Ages 6-10

Seven young girls throw a surprise sleepover birthday party for their best friend Laura. The party turns out to be a lesson for them all. Throughout the party they each travel back in time and tell their American Girl Doll story and they all learn the true meaning of friendship.

Afternoon stories and craft for grades K-2. We will read stories about pigs to celebrate national pig day, and then make a pigalicious craft!

For grades 1-3. We'll use an iPad to help us color in the coloring page projected on the Igloo walls!

Kids in grade K-6 are invited to sign up for a ten-minute reading session to Rufus, a therapy dog. Sign-up sheet available 30 minutes before the program.

American Girl book Club; Grades 1-6 with their grown up

We discuss a Historical American Girl book every other month with a correlated craft. This month's book is Josefina: Sunlight and Shadows.First 5 registered also get their own personal copy of the book! Register at The Trove Desk and read Josefina’s story before we meet!

For grades 3-6. Each session will have a sign-up sheet with 6 slots for our 6 player limit – anyone who already has a character they’ve created can come at 5, but anyone who hasn’t created a character yet should come at 4:30 so we can make that happen before the game starts!

For grades K-2. We will help each other figure out the clues in Eye Spy, see if we can find the answer on the page, and get a take-home activity!

Van Gogh’s Birthday- Painting Time; Grades K-6

Come create a beautiful Van Gogh inspired painting!

We will look at his artwork for inspiration and learn a little bit about this very famous artist. We will be using washable tempera paint, but it is still a good idea to wear something you don't mind getting a little paint on, just in case! Free ticket required and available to pick up 30 minutes before the program.

Meet and listen to 10-year-old Aria and Carter McCants talk about publishing their books and hear excerpts from their two titles, Crystal's Destiny and The Jungle Quest.
