Exciting news for genealogists and family history enthusiasts! White Plains Library is now officially a FamilySearch Affiliate Library, giving you free access to one of the world's largest online collections of genealogical records. FamilySearch is the genealogy arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While genealogy has special meaning to the church, they have opened their online genealogy collection to everyone through their FamilySearch centers and affiliate libraries, and what a collection it is–over five billion images!

It’s best to sign up for a free account with familysearch.org so you can access all the records/images they make available. With an account you can also save your family search progress and build a family tree.
