The White Plains City Schools will hold their annual art show in the Library, May 29 through June 4. Every school will be represented by artists in Kindergarten through High School. More than 300 works will be on display and will include paintings, drawings, and sculptures. An opening reception will be Thursday, May 29 from 5-7pm in the Museum Gallery.
This show is scheduled to coincide with the 52nd annual White Plains Outside Arts Festival taking place Saturday and Sunday, May 31 and June 1, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.at Tibbits Park, 1 North Broadway, in White Plains. The Festival is an all Volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to raising college scholarship funds for selected White Plains High School seniors who will be continuing their education in the arts. The White Plains Outdoor Arts Festival is committed to providing a free cultural event for the people of the community exposing them to the many forms of fine arts and crafts, as well as encouraging emerging artists by providing them an opportunity to display their art in a public setting.
The show and reception are free and open to the public.
