Supermarket Special Hours/Lanes
Whole Foods—Customers over 60 can shop one hour early, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. each day.

Stop and Shop (both on Westchester Avenue and on North Broadway)—Customers over 60 as well as customers with compromised immune systems can shop from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. each day.

ShopRite in City Center—Customers over 60 can shop from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. each day.

Trader Joe’s in Hartsdale—Seniors have a special shopping line from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. each day. Store is closed April 20th for a deep clean but will reopen on April 21st. Check this website for any future temporary closures.

H Mart in Hartsdale—The first hour each day, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., is reserved for seniors, pregnant women, and the handicapped.

Other White Plains Organizations
City of White Plains Recreation and Parks is sending out a weekly newsletter for all ages. Call 422-1336
to be added to the email list.

United Way of Westchester and Putnam has a 24/7 help line. Dial 211 and press “2” for connections to
Coronavirus-related resources.

Meals on Wheels has switched from daily Monday to Friday deliveries to twice a week, but still provides
a frozen meal for the days they don’t visit. They are using a no-contact delivery method now. Call them
at (914) 946-6878.

RideConnect of Family Services of Westchester has set up a shopping program for older adults to help keep them safely at home. Volunteers get a client’s grocery list, do the shopping and drop the groceries off at the client. If you need help shopping for groceries or medications, call them at (914) 242-7433.

DOROT of Westchester offers a Telephone Friends program for people over 60 who would like to develop a connection with a volunteer over the phone. Call Cippi Harte at (914) 573-8906.

DOROT also offers University without Walls, classes held over the phone, for people over 60. Call (877) 819-9147. Go here for more information.

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) has geriatric care managers available to assist seniors (age 60 and over) by phone. Their staff can provide information and referrals to help seniors get what they need at this time. Seniors can call Judy Fink at (914) 761-0600, ext. 2340.
