Museums with Marisa returns for a series of programs where attendees will learn about artists and art movements from history each week. Mondays, 11:00 a.m., Grades K-4. Be sure to have on hand some paper and things to color with: crayons, colored pencils, markers, or markers to make your own artwork!

July 19: Meet the Ancient Greeks!
Columns, grand staircases, temples and the agora! Discover ancient Greek art, sculpture, and architecture. Visit the world famous Parthenon and imagine what it would have looked like thousands of years ago.
July 26: Meet the Renaissance Artists!
Meet world famous Renaissance artists! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were named after these artists, so let’s discover Leonardo da Vinchi, Michelangelo, Raphael, and their friends.
August 2: Meet the Impressionists!
Where does the word “Impressionism” come from? How do you recognize an Impressionist painting compared to a different type of painting? Let’s explore these colorful and unique works of art as we get to know Mary Cassatt, Claude Monet, George Seurat and friends.
August 9: Meet American Artists!
The last century produced amazing, unique and colorful works of art that we call Contemporary and Modern Art. Let’s discover American artists who exploded onto the art scene! Get to know Georgia O’Keeffe, Edward Hopper, Andy Warhol and their friends.
