February Break Week Programs

Some great events are taking place during the week of February school break, 2/22-2/25. Some of these programs require pre-registration, so be sure to check the “more info” or our online calendar.

For Younger Kids and Families

Move & Groove with Miss Jolie
Friday, February 25, 11:00 a.m.
Children, Toddlers, PreK-Grade 2, Families
Join the program here.
Miss Jolie's Music & Movement Class infuses learning and movement with music, stories, and lots of silliness! Jolie brings a twist to classic children's music in addition to engaging children with original interactive songs. Singing, dancing, clapping, snapping, and stomping are highly encouraged! Jolie performs with her ukulele along with other musical instruments and props for the children.

Elementary School and Up

3D Printing and Design Workshop
Tuesday, February 22 – Friday, February 25, 1:00 p.m.
Grades 4-6

Participants will learn to use three different 3D design software programs and take part in daily lessons and challenges. This program is made possible with support from Con Edison.

Black History Month STEAM Activity
Tuesday, February 22, 4:00 p.m.
Grades 1-6.

For Black History Month, take part in a STEAM program about African American leaders in space exploration and learn about the constellations
Pop Art Workshop with Michael Albert
Thursday, February 24, 4:00 p.m.
Grades 4-8
Register to pick up a Grab & Go Kit of materials. More info.
Local artist Michael Albert’s use of recycling in art is truly inspirational. Use found materials to create some awesome collages.
Game Design for Youth
Thursday, February 24, 4:00 p.m.
Children, teens.
Register here.
Participants will learn a variety of game design concepts while working collaboratively within the Roblox platform.
Many of these programs are made possible with support from the White Plains Library Foundation.
