March Programs for Younger Kids

Great programs for younger children take place all month long, every month, at the Library. See our online calendar or stop in the Trove for location information.

Author Visit Storytime: Purim Goodies
Ages 2-6, Families
Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – March 2
Award-winning local author and illustrator Amalia Hoffman performs her delicious tale, seasoned with funny Yiddish words. Make music with an egg beater and pots and dance to Klezmer tunes and sing-along. A unique and fun-filled event for children and families that will whet your appetite!  Toy Time in the Story Trove – a time to play and socialize – following.


Tiny Tots!
0 – 24 months, with a caregiver
Fridays, 11:00 a.m. – March 2, 10, 17, 24, 31
Space is limited.  Please pick up tickets in the Trove starting at 10:30 a.m.
Our popular program for babies up to 24 months is back!  Interactive songs and fun in a lapsit format for a baby and their caregiver.

Storytime!
Ages 2-6, Families
Saturday, 2:00 p.m. – March 4
Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m. – March 7, 14, 28
Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – March 23
Stories, songs and fun with a Trove Librarian. Following Storytime on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the children and caregivers are invited to Toy Time in the Story Trove – a time to play and socialize!
Bilingual Family Storytime
Ages 3+, Families
Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. – March 8
Families will listen to a bilingual story, sing bilingual songs and make a craft. This program will be in English and Spanish.
Family Storytime: Pi Day π
Ages 3+, Families
Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. – March 15
Stories, songs and rhymes followed by a craft to celebrate the number Pi 3.14159…
Storybook Dancing with Steffi Nossen School of Dance
Ages 2-6, Families
Thursday, 11:30 a.m. – March 16
A creative, movement-filled program for young ones to hear stories and then dance them to life! Following Storybook Dancing, the children and caregivers are invited to Toy Time in the Story Trove – a time to play and socialize!

Join Ms. Nicola for a creative art workshop and make your own puppet from provided craft materials!
Storytime Dance Party with Miss Jolie
Ages 1-8, Families
Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. – March 21
Referred to by a parent as the “best program we’ve ever attended at any library” at her program at the Library in August, Miss Jolie shares her own book, Searching for Good Luck! Miss Jolie performs with her ukulele along with other musical instruments and props for the children. Toy Time in the Story Trove – a time to play and socialize – following.
Rock Your World Concert
Up to age 8, Families
Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m. – March 22, 29
Galaxy Hall
Join Miss Armelle for an educational multicultural music show! Miss Armelle brings instruments for all to join in this performance of global tunes which include traditional favorites and new songs.
Family Storytime: Mama Miti
Ages 3+, Families
Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. – March 15
Hear Mama Miti, which tells of how a woman's love & respect for the trees creates an entire movement, followed by a craft
Family Storytime: Leila in Saffron
Ages 3+, Families
Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. – March 15
Hear Leila in Saffron, in which a girl seeks out the characteristics that make up her unique identity, followed by a craft
Let’s Groove! with Miss Lisa
Ages 3 months – 5 years, Families
Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – March 30
Join Miss Lisa and her guitar for a fun-filled music class and be ready to dance to a bunch of tunes!
International Transgender Day of Visibility Storytime
Children, Families

Friday, 4:30 p.m. – March 31
Join us for stories and a craft celebrating the International Transgender Day of Visibility!
