Serves as an administrative and quasi-judicial body whose determinations can provide relief from strict or literal interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance that may cause unnecessary hardship on property owners. The Board decides applications for area and use variances and presides over appeals on decisions by an administrative official charged with the enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.
