Great programs for younger children take place all month long, every month, at the Library. See our online calendar or stop in the Trove for location information.

Storytime!
Ages 2-6, Families

Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – April 20
Stories, songs and fun with a Trove Librarian. Following Storytime on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the children and caregivers are invited to Toy Time in the Story Trove – a time to play and socialize!
FIESTA! Concert with Flor Bromley
Children, Families
Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. – April 4

FIESTA! is a multicultural musical celebration! Kids and families will join in the fun as they learn about different musical genres through dance, storytelling and songs, traveling with Flor Bromley to the countries where the rhythms were born. This is not your typical children’s concert, it’s a whole family fiesta!  Toy Time in the Story Trove – a time to play and socialize – following.
Nature Heroes Show with Jumpin’ Jamie
Children, Families
Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. – April 4
“Kindie rock” musician Jumpin' Jamie returns with his friends Mo The Manatee, Simon The Sloth, and Tim the Toucan as they learn about the dangers our planet is facing and how we can be like superheroes to help save it. A fun, musical, interactive and rockin' performance with positive environmental lessons for Earth Day (April 20)!
Rock Your World Concert
Up to age 8, Families
Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m. – April 5, 19
Galaxy Hall
Join Miss Armelle for an educational multicultural music show! Miss Armelle brings instruments for all to join in this performance of global tunes which include traditional favorites and new songs.
Bilingual Family Storytime
Ages 3+, Families
Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. – April 5
Families will listen to a bilingual story, sing bilingual songs and make a craft. This program will be in English and Spanish.
Dental Health Storytime
Ages 2-6, Families
Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – April 6
Meet Joanne Roos, RDH from Main Street Pediatric Dentistry and author of Who Visits Me from A to Z. She will do a short reading of her book, a short demonstration on dental health and a movie. All participants will receive a goody bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste and an activity sheet.  Toy Time in the Story Trove – a time to play and socialize – following.
Rainforest Butterflies
Ages 5+
Thursday, 2:00 p.m. – April 6
Galaxy Hall
Children, teens, families and adults are invited to a presentation on the butterflies of the world’s rainforests. View spectacular butterfly and moth displays from the world’s tropical rainforests.
Family Storytime: April Showers Bring May Flowers
Ages 3+, Families
Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. – April 12
Stories, songs and rhymes followed by a craft.
Storybook Dancing with Steffi Nossen School of Dance
Ages 2-6, Families
Thursday, 11:30 a.m. – April 13
A creative, movement-filled program for young ones to hear stories and then dance them to life! Following Storybook Dancing, the children and caregivers are invited to Toy Time in the Story Trove – a time to play and socialize!
Tiny Tots!
0 – 24 months, with a caregiver
Fridays, 11:00 a.m. – April 14, 21, 28
Space is limited.  Please pick up tickets in the Trove starting at 10:30 a.m.
Our popular program for babies up to 24 months is back!  Interactive songs and fun in a lapsit format for a baby and their caregiver.
Author Visit Storytime: Montserrat Coughlin Kim
Ages 3+, Families
Saturday, 2:00 p.m. – April 15
Author Montserrat Coughlin Kim will read My Dad and the Dragon and answer questions about the book and her family's experience. My Dad and the Dragon is a beautifully illustrated picture book about a parent diagnosed with cancer. It openly and honestly shows its readers family life, fears, and joys through the eyes of 7-year-old Cameron. Come see why Indie Book Reviews stated it is a “must read when cancer becomes a household word.”
Igloo VR for Kids: Science School Bus
Ages 3+, Families
Sunday, 2:00 p.m. – April 16
Experience Virtual Reality (VR) without a headset in the library's newly installed panoramic content room. Views from 360° content and more will be provided in this fun series of programs.
Move & Groove with Miss Jolie
Ages 1-8, Families
Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. – April 18
Referred to by a parent as the “best program we’ve ever attended at any library,” Miss Jolie performs with her ukulele along with other musical instruments and props for the children leading them in a high-energy, high-fun program. Toy Time in the Story Trove – a time to play and socialize – following.
Stories & Stuff: Bees
Ages 2-6, Families
Tuesday, 4:30 p.m. – April 18
Space is limited – pick up tickets in the Trove starting at 4:00 p.m.

Afternoon stories and crafts about bees.
Family Storytime: A Good Place
Ages 3+, Families
Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. – April 19
Hear A Good Place by Lucy Cousins, along with songs, rhymes and a craft.
Family Storytime: Go To Sleep, Gecko!
Ages 3+, Families
Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. – April 26
Hear the Balinese folktale,  Go to Sleep, Gecko!, along with songs, rhymes and a craft.
Let’s Groove! with Miss Lisa
Ages 3 months – 5 years, Families
Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – April 27
Join Miss Lisa and her guitar for a fun-filled music class and be ready to dance to a bunch of tunes!
Author Visit Storytime: Yashekia Felder Matthew and Isaiah Matthew
Ages 3+, Families
Saturday, 2:00 p.m. – April 29
Enjoy a Special Authors Storytime with authors Yashekia Felder Matthew and Isaiah Matthew to celebrate their book, I'm Not Bad! I Just Want Attention.
