New NY Bridge Lego Model On Display In The Trove

The New NY Bridge to replace the Tappan Zee Bridge will be under construction until 2018, but if you come into The Trove at The White Plains Public Library today, you will be treated to a sneak preview of the completed bridge. Members of the Trove's Lego Club have built a model of the new bridge, all out of Lego blocks, and proudly invite the public to view the completed project. Each week professional career counselors will introduce a new topic from interview skills to using social media for a job search. Get support, exchange ideas, ask questions or explore new strategies. Sunday, March 16, 1:30-4 p.m., Library Auditorium Please join us for an afternoon of hands-on community service benefiting local non-profit organizations. Make place-mats for Meals-on-Wheels clients, bookmarks for The Trove, and other items sure to bring a smile to someone's face. Ages seven and up are welcome! UNSEEN ROLLING STONES, LED ZEPPELIN, CLAPTON AND OTHER PHOTOGRAPHS 1967-76

On view March 10 – April 27, 2014 in the White Plains Library Gallery, this exhibit celebrates the golden age of rock and roll in photographs, some never before exhibited, taken by Tapani Talo, a White Plains resident, architect, photographer and, during the time the photographs were taken, a sound engineer for some of the most iconic bands of the era. How to Build a Computer

Building a computer from parts is much cheaper than buying one readily assembled. At the “How to Build a Computer” workshop in the Edge, on March 31st from 4:00 – 5:00p.m., teens will be able to see what an individually constructed PC looks like and participate in the process of upgrading another. Instruction about microprocessors, RAM, motherboards, power supplies, hard drives, and graphics cards will be taught throughout.
