The Library will be celebrating National Poetry Month with a few programs that are educational and fun for the whole family. Events: Magnetic Poetry Daily during library hours in April The Trove All Ages One of the ways the Library will engage children with poetry is to give them the opportunity to write their own poetry with poetry magnets throughout the entire month in the Trove. There will be a magnet board on display so that children will be able to play and arrange words to make a magnetic poem. Poetry Month Grab & Go Kits Available beginning April 3

Join Miss Armelle at her Rock Your World Concert for an educational multicultural music show with instruments you get to play! The program celebrates parents, grand-parents and caregivers, happiness, nature and human connections! Miss Armelle brings instruments for all to join in this performance of global tunes which include traditional favorites and new songs. Valentine’s Day can be a wonderful opportunity to teach kids about interpersonal relationships. Whether it is their relationship with their siblings & parents, classmates & teachers, or the children's librarian at your local public library! Kindie rock musician Jumpin' Jamie returns with his puppet friends to celebrate “Spooky Season” with a high-energy show filled with music and magic including the hit song “Ghost In My House” which has been ranked by Yahoo, Time Out NY, and Good Housekeeping as a “Top Halloween Song”. Jumpin' Jamie has performed thousands of shows for audiences as varied as birthday parties for 12 people to stadiums for 12,000.
