Day of the Dead Altars 2023

Annually, the Trove holds a series of workshops where participants make Day of the Dead ofrendas. The altar-making series is a beloved family program that has been offered for many years by the Children’s staff. This year, we are thrilled to bring this tradition back in-person here in the Trove. Over the course of three workshops held this October, a total of six families created beautiful ofrendas for their dearly departed loved ones. Thursdays afternoons in the Trove are K-2 Hour! A variety of different programs for kids in kindergarten through 2nd grade will be hosted at the library. Greenburgh Nature Center Pass Now Available

The White Plains Public Library is pleased to announce the addition of Greenburgh Nature Center in Scarsdale, NY to the Museum Pass Program. The Library pass provides free admission for two adults of the same household and all children under 18 to the Manor House, which is home to the Live Animal Museum, and its grounds. The Manor House is open Tuesday-Sunday, from 10am-4pm. There is a lot to see and discover within the walls of the historic Manor House. The first floor features animals and a greenhouse.
