Announcing Tiny Tales

The Trove is excited to announce a new “bite-sized” early literacy video series called Tiny Tales. Trove Librarians will be recording and sharing short stories, songs, rhymes and more. Take a quick early literacy break, or watch a few in a row for a longer storytime! New videos will be released each Tuesday and Thursday on YouTube and the Library’s social media starting next week, but you can view the first two which are available now! Author Storytime: Who Visits Me From A to Z at the dentist

Author Storytime: Who Visits Me From A to Z at the dentist

Tuesday, May 10 at 1 pm. Dental hygienist Joanne Roos wrote a picture book to introduce children to the dentist. She will read her book, with help from some puppet friends, and teach how to brush our teeth. For children ages 2 and up with a caregiver.  Limited space, tickets distributed a half hour before program. Books will be sold after the program.

Target Sponsors Math and Science Bag-A-Tales and Storytimes

Up in Space and Sea Life were the themes that kicked off a new series of math and science storytimes in mid-January in The Trove. The storytimes offer demonstrations, including stories, interactive activities and crafts, of 12 new Bag-A-Tales available soon for checkout. Funding for the bags and storytimes has been provided by the White Plains Library Foundation through a Target Early Childhood Reading Grant.
